Mihran Poghosyan resigns

YEREVAN, APRIL 18, ARMENPRESS. Mihran Poghosyan resigned from the post of Chief Compulsory Enforcement Officer of the Republic of Armenia. As “Armenpress” was informed by the Press Service of the Compulsory Enforcement Service of Judicial Acts of Armenia, Poghosyan made an announcement:

“My name has surfaced in Armenian and International press regarding the Panama offshore papers. I regret that my name is listed along with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s family, who embezzled billions of dollars. It is unacceptable for my name to cause any parallel between my country and the authoritarian Azerbaijan. For this reason I have submitted a resignation letter. I will publicly speak on the offshore papers as an ordinary citizen, without holding state office.
