Nearly 16 thousand people found job during the passing year in Armenia

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 26, ARMENPRESS. Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan, summing up the passing year, documented that interesting results have been recorded due to implementation of their program. “System reforms have been continuous in the sphere of social security. Large volume of legislative works has been done. New social programs have been launched”, “Armenpress” reports, Minister Artem Asatryan said in the final annual press-conference.

Referring to the programs done in the field of labor and employment, the Minister stated that the public policy conducted in the sphere of labor has drastically changes during 2014-2015, making the ideology of providing unemployed with a job as the fundament of the policy. “11 thousand and 270 people have been included in that program this year, a total of 15 thousand 782 people have been employed this year. 6 thousand and 285 out of which by a seasonal employment program”, the Minister informed.

As refers to assisting rural economies by the means of seasonal employment programs, 2 thousand and 583 land users were allocated with 240 million and 867.3 thousand drams in 2014, and 4 thousand and 793 land users were allocated with 849.3 million drams in 2015.

“In Tavush Province 44 bordering communities have been included in paid public works. The program launched in November and the results of the pilot project are satisfactory for the Ministry: 397 people have been included in the program during that process with a 7 thousand daily wage”, Artem Asatryan stated.
