YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 20, ARMENPRESS. Armenian economic activity index for January- October 2015 surpassed the index of the same period of the previous year by 3.5%. “Armenpress” reports the National Statistical Serviceofthe Republic of Armenia has introduced the current-operative preliminary main macro-economic indicators characterizing thesocio-economic situationofArmenia. Trade and foreign trade turnover have dropped.
Constructionproductionvolume roseby 0.1% against the same period of the previous year. Electricity production has also recorded increase by 2.2%. Service volume (trade excluded) rose by 2.8% and the gross agricultural production preserved double-digit growth: 11.6%. Trade turnover has dropped by 6.4%.
Industrial production rose by 4.6% in January-October 2015 against the same period of the previous year. Consumer price index rose by 4.4%. Average monthly wage increased by 9.2% fixing at 181 thousand and 675 drams. Foreign trade turnover reduced by 20.4% (3 billion 900.9 million USD) while exports decreased by 2.2% and imports reduced by 26.6%. US exchange rate against the dram was 477.19 during January-October.
