YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 9, ARMENPRESS. Republic of Armenia Minister of Economy Karen Chshmaritian left for theIslamic RepublicofIran on Nov. 8 on an official visit. As “Armenpress” was informed by Information and Public Relations Division of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia the delegation headed by the Minister comprises Deputy Minister of Economy Garegin Melkonyan, Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Aram Arsenyan, Deputy Minister of Diaspora Vahagn Melikyan, President of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia Arsen Ghazaryan, Armenia Development Fund (ADF) DirectorArman Khachatryan, representatives of Armenia Economy, Foreign Affairs, Energy and Natural Resources ministries, Export Insurance Agency of Armenia etc.
Armenia Minister of Economy Karen Chshmaritian will have meetings with Iran state officials: Iranian Minister ofIndustry,Mine and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh,Iran’s Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Ali Tayyebnia, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Mahmoud Vaezi etc.
Prospects for economic development of the two countries, possibilities for cooperation in the context of Armenia’s membership to the EAEU and cooperation with the EU, bilateral interests in the sector of information technologies and innovation, issues related to export of Armenian products to Iran and other issues of mutual interest will be discussed with the Iranian officials.
The delegation headed by Republic of Armenia Minister of Economy Karen Chshmaritian as well as 65 Armenian businessmen will attend Iran-Armenia business forum in Tehran on November 9. Iranian Minister ofIndustry,Mine and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh and Republic of Armenia Minister of Economy Karen Chshmaritian will give speeches at the opening of the forum.
