100 lives project’s first concert held in Gyumri

GYUMRI, OCTOBER 29, ARMENPRESS. Numerous brave people assisted Armenians 100 years before when the latters needed it very much. And also according to their efforts each Armenian has generosity. Now, after 100 years, the fund “InitiativesforDevelopmentofArmenia” appears with 100 LIVES for highlighting those stories, in the frames of which the first concert held on October 28 in VardanAjemianState Drama Theatre in Gyumri by the evening of music and poetry wearing the name of Marine Alese’s “One of you…”rubric. Creations of Marine Alese were sounded from the stage which was accompanied by the stories of survival of the genocide survivors.

Gyumri was not selected random as a launch of the imitative. “The aim of the concerts is to inform the society about the project and to introduce numerous survival stories with the help of culture reminding once again that we were not alone but people helped us; people of different nationalities. We decided to launch in Gyumri as a survivor city; city which accepted more than 30 thousand orphans being a city of orphans and having the biggest orphanage. Many of the today’s’ citizens of Gyumri are inheritors of those orphans and, of course, the city is reborn again after the earthquake and continues to live and survive”, the ProjectDirector Aren Apikyan informed “Armenpress” about this, that the initiative will also host Gyumri.
