France multinational inspection team visits Berdavan suffered from Azerbaijani shelling

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 1, ARMENPRESS. In the frames of the 2011 document of Vienna, France multinational inspection team passed inspection of “The mentioned region” in the territory of the Republic of Armenia. As “Armenpress” was informed from theInformationandPublic Relations Departmentof theMinistryofDefenseof theRepublic of Armenia, within the framework of the inspection the inspection team visited the units of the 3rd Army corps.

The inspectors also wished to pay a visit to Berdavan border village in Armenia’s Tavush Province, and where two civilians were killed on September 24, from shelling by the Azerbaijani army and another two civilians were injured from shrapnel. They visited the families of the victims, spoke with them, and photographed the shrapnel of the mines from the Turkish-made TR-107 reactive rocket propelled howitzers.

On October 1, the multinational inspection team visited the Ministry of Defense’s Baghramyan military training ground, where the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) “Indestructible Brotherhood 2015” military exercises are underway.

On the same day, on October 1, First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Davit Tonoyan met with French Ambassador to Armenia Jean-François Charpentier. During the meeting, Tonoyan presented the situation along the northeastern sector of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border and along the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces.
