Provence-Alpes-Côte d-Azur in France wishes to establish tourist center in Lori

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 23, ARMENPRESS. Vice-Governor of Provence-Alpes-Côte d-AzurinFrance, Patrick Allman visited Armenia on September 23 accompanied by the 1st Secretary of French Embassy in Armenia. As “Armenpress” was informed from the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia, the Vice-Governor informed Minister Hakobyan that French Provence-Alpes-Côte d-Azur, collaborating with Lori Province in Armenia, is interested in developing tourism in that region rich in cultural and historical heritage and wishes to establish a unique tourism center of Armenian identity in Lori. They also plan to expand the agricultural products and establish joint farming households.

Minister Hranush Hakobyan, greeting the guests, mentioned with satisfaction that France is the country with which Armenia has particularly cordial relations in all spheres. The Minister attached great importance to the implementation of the projects fostering the development of tourism, mentioned that such initiatives will also foster the development of small business, creation of new jobs and decentralization.

Vice-Governor Patrick Allman expressed gratitude to Minister Hakobyan and emphasized that the initiative is to a large extent conditioned by the popularity of the Armenians living in France and the deep respect towards them.

During the conversation the Minister answered Patrick Allman’s questions which referred to the functions of the Ministry and problems of Syrian Armenians.
