United Labor Party will participate in the constitutional reform process

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 9, ARMENPRESS: The United labor party will participate in the process of constitutional reforms and is going to fix important principles for them. UN President, MP Gurgen Arsenyan mentioned this during his conversation with a few journalists after meeting with the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan in the frames of the constitutional reforms, "During the meeting with the president we presented our party's approaches and position connected with the constitutional amendments. We cannot remain indifferent to the constitutional reform process. We believe that we should participate in this process and fix the principles that are important for us’’, Armenpress informs, Arsenyan emphasized.

Arsenyan said that they are concerned by the provision of the draft constitution, according to which, the president will be elected by elective bodies, a number of transitional provisions, which they mentioned during the presidential meeting. At the same time, the UN president considers positive the fact that the draft Constitution raises not the role of the individuals, but the role of political parties.
