Early parliamentary election to be held on November 1 in Turkey

YEREVAN, AUGUST 25, ARMENPRESS. Supreme Election Board (YSK) of Turkey published the date of the early parliamentary elections: It will take place on November 1.

“Armenpress” reports, citing Turkish mass media that the President of the YSK of Turkey, Sadi Güven, announced about this.

“Taking into consideration the weather challenges, it was decided to hold the parliamentary elections on November 1”, he said.

Earlier, before YSK would make a decision to hold early parliamentary elections in Turkey on November 1, the President of Turkey, Recep TayyipErdoğan, had already announced about it.

According to Turkish media, Erdoğan did everything not to allow forming a coalition after the June 7 elections, when the ruling “Justice and Development” party did not manage to obtain necessary votes for forming a single party government. He hopes that the second elections will give “Justice and Development” party an opportunity to form a single party government.
