Movie “Zorro” is coming back

YEREVAN, AUGUST 19, ARMENPRESS.Attempts at a new version of Zorro have floated around Hollywood for years, but the latest one to take shape, isZorro Reborn, which brings the pulp-novel character created in 1919 to a bleak future, presumably where he can protect the innocents even better than he did in his native, Spanish-ruled California. Armenpress reports, citing “Vanity Fair”, that Zorro has been portrayed on film for many, many decades, and with theAntonio Banderas–starringZorrofilms still relatively fresh in our minds, it might be hard to put someone new in Zorro’s classic black mask and flat-brimmed hat.

As “TheHollywoodRepoter” informs, the media company led by CEOAntonio Gennarithat works in production and financing as well as studio space, will finance the movie with a plan to begin principal photography March 2016 in Pinewood Dominican Republic Studios.

"Every generation has its own Zorro hero and we’re proud to be able to introduce a new Zorro to this generation," said Gennari.

Pantelion Films will handle international sales with sales launching at the Toronto Film Festival.
