YEREVAN, JULY 14, ARMENPRESS. The authors aimed to awaken people's feelings about the Genocide by the film “1915” dedicated to the anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The directorsandscreenwritersofthefilm Karin HovhannisyanandAlek Muhibyan mentioned this in an interview with journalists on July 14. The film is included in the “Armenian panorama” competition of the Yerevan 12th film festival “Golden Apricot”.
“The scenes take place on April 24, 2015. The film is considered to be a psychological thriller but it is rather a psychological mystery. This is a film about the past, memories, denial. It shows how we try to run away from the past but the ghosts try to pursue us”, s reports “Armenpress”, mentioned Karin Hovhannisyan.
To the question of “Armenpress” how they managed to cooperate with Sezh Tangian, who is the film composer, Karin Hovhannisyan answered.
“Atom Egoyan was one of the first to read the movie script. He liked it very much, he inspired us and told that we to make the film anyway. Atom told Serzh that the film is a very good one and Serzh said that he wanted to write the music for the film. He had sent us different works though he had not seen the footages yet. He wrote such a music that is in harmony with the film”.
