Armenians’ children in Turkey to attend schools with no “national code”

YEREVAN, JULY 3, ARMENPRESS. The application of the principle of “secret code” to enter Turkey’s schools belonging to non-Muslims has been canceled according to the new ruling of Nabi Avji – Acting Minister of NationalEducationof Turkey. Hereafter the non-Muslim children will be able to get enrolled in schools of national minorities only by the decision of the headmaster of the given educational institution. As Armenpress reports, the aforementioned is reported by the Armenian periodical “Agos.”

The decision was made when Garo Palayan – Armenian MP of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey - met Nabi Avji and told him that no new regulations are necessary to settle the problem, only Minister’s decision is enough.
