European Commission probably to give new mandate to EU countries to start new negotiations with Armenia: Hovsep Khurshudyan

YEREVAN, 9 MAY, ARMENPRESS. The European Commission probably will give a new mandate to the EU countries to start new negotiations with Armenia during the EU Eastern Partnership summit to be held in Riga. "I expect that in Riga a declarative document will be adopted between Armenia and EU, where the parties will express their willingness to negotiate on a new bilateral agreement," the member of the managing Head of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum and the coordinator of the 4th working group Hovsep Khurshudyan stated this in a talk with “Armenpress".

He said that although Armenia is a member of EEU, the European Union is ready to continue the cooperation with Armenia. "We should understand that after determining the framework of the cooperation between Armenia and the EU, the European Commission will provide a new mandate to the negotiating sides, which is very important,” Khurshudyan emphasized.
