Turkey recalls its Ambassador to Luxembourg

ANKARA, 7 MAY, ARMENPRESS. Turkey has recalled its Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Luxembourg Levent Sahinkaya. This comes after the parliament of that country adopted a resolution on Armenian Genocide recognition. As “Armenpress” reports, citing Hurriyet, this is what the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in its press release. The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also recalled Luxembourg’s Ambassador to Turkey Arlette Conzemius.

The Turkish source reminds that the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also recalled its Ambassadors to Austria and the Vatican, which have also recognized the Armenian Genocide, but haven’t done the same in the case of Russia, whose President Vladimir Putin participated in the events dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide in Yerevan.
