Armenia’s Court of Appeals left first instance court’s verdict on Vardan Petrosyan unchanged

YEREVAN, 5 MAY, ARMENPRESS. The Court of Appeals of the Republic of Armenia left the verdict of the first instance court of general jurisdiction of Kotayk Province on Vardan Petrosyan unchanged.“I definitely view the decision of the Court of Appeals as positive. If the defendant doesn’t file another appeal within one month, then Vardan Petrosyan will be released after the decision of the Court of Appeals enters into force since he has already completed one-third of the sentencing foreseen by the court ruling,”Vardan Petrosyan’sattorney Nikolay Baghdasaryanmentioned in an interview with “Armenpress”, adding that he will be filing another appeal to the Court of Appeals of the Republic of Armenia following Vardan Petrosyan’s release.

The plaintiff’s civil lawsuits against compensation of damages presented by Vardan Petrosyan weren’t examined once again.
