Lebanese national forces welcomed Pope's position on Armenian Genocide recognition issue

YEREVAN, 20 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. Lebanese national forces and parties have discussed the local, Arab and regional latest events in the "Shaghzoyan" center.

“Armenpress” was informed about this from Lebanese "Aztag" periodical. During the meetings it is also discussed about the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The participants condemned the massacres perpetrated by the Ottoman Empire, expressing their support to the Armenian people deprived of their rights.

The participants of the meeting welcomed the Pope's position, who recognized the Armenian Genocide, noting that today the Ottoman massacres are repeated in Syria by the terrorist groups, which have the support of Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The dictatorship, which wants to be reestablished on the blood and corpses of elderly, women and children, orchestrated by IS "Jabha he Nusra" terrorist group and funded by the Turkish secret service networks.
