Armenian cross-stone in Alicante has been damaged

YEREVAN, 15 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. On April 12, 2015,a group of anonymous people broke the cross sculpted on an Armenian cross-stone (khachkar) placed in theSpanishcity of Alicante and damaged the cross-stone. As the Department of Media and Public Relations of the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia reports to “Armenpress”, thelocal Armenian community has appealed to the corresponding bodies (municipal authorities, police) to have the cross-stone restored and have the criminals revealed and brought to justice by law.

Currently, the authorities are taking measures to ensure safety during all the events that the Armenian community is holding in the month of April and to protect the cross-stone from further damage.
