Armenian government continues to support Syrian-Armenians

YEREVAN, 8 APRIL, ARMENPRESS.The Syrian crisis continues, and as a result, more and more Armenians are repatriating from Syria. This is whatMinister of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia Hranush Hakobyanannounced during a question-and-answer session with government officials at the National Assembly, in response to a question raised by Deputy of the faction of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) of the National Assembly.“The Armenians returning from Syria are joined by Armenians of Ukraine and Iraq, but the flow of Armenians from Ukraine and Iraq is not as large as the flow of Armenians from Syria. Today, it is safe to say that the government has made amendments to many laws and decisions so that Syrian-Armenians will be able to solve their issues without any hassle. The Ministry of Diaspora and the Small and Medium Enterprise Development National Center have organized seven two-month courses that have been held with the participation of 149 Syrian-Armenians. Out of the 100 business plans, 74 have been approved. The Syrian-Armenian businessmen have been provided with special loans worth AMD 5 million. I must say that Syrian-Armenians integrate very quickly. They have also introduced a new working culture, and all employees are content with the Syrian-Armenians,”Hakobyan informed, as “Armenpress” reports.

Hranush Hakobyan also informed that the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia had allocated AMD 100 million to solve the health problems of Syrian-Armenians within the framework of the state order.
