Wrestler Volodya Frangulyan becomes European champion

YEREVAN, 26 MARCH, ARMENPRESS. Armenian freestyle wrestler Volodya Frangulyan (61 kg weight category) became a European champion at the Up-To 23 European Wrestling Championship held in Walbrzych, Poland.

Frangulyan won his Ukrainian opponent Andrey Svirid 8:3 in the final round.

Ishkhan Poghosyan (70 kg weight category) also had a chance to score a medal, but lost to Belarusian wrestler Alexander Karpach in the fight for third place, as the Armenian Wrestling Federation reports to “Armenpress”.
