"At the Foot of Mount Ararat" media forum adopted Armenian Genocide condemning declaration

YEREVAN, 20 MARCH, ARMENPRESS: Dozens of journalists have adopted a joint declaration which condemns Armenian Genocide at the final day of the International media forum titled "At the Foot of Mount Ararat". As “Armenpress” reports, in declaration, which is adopted during the meeting held in Matenadaran, it is particularly said.
“We, journalists, participants of the international media forum "At the Foot of Mount Ararat", representatives of different countries, nationalities and religions, pay tribute to the Armenian people and respect the memory of the 1.5 million innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide killed in Ottoman Empire in 1915. We strongly condemn these events, which were aimed at destroying the Armenian people and its centuries-old exclusive culture and depriving the Armenian people from its own homeland. Events were accompanied by mass killings, massacres and ethnic cleansing”. They have pointed out that on the eve of the 100th anniversary of the tragedy of the Armenian people, they cannot remain indifferent towards Turkey's attempts to oblivion the Armenian Genocide.
“We condemn the denial of Genocide as falsification of historical facts, which are distorting the causes, mechanisms and consequences of the tragedy. Addressing historical facts, we pay our tribute towards those journalists who informed the world about the terrible crimes which has taken place in the region of the Ottoman Empire”, - says the Declaration.
