Sis Catholicosate return – positive initiative

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 20, ARMENPRESS: The initiative of the Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I to apply to the Constitutional Court of Turkey and return the Sis Catholicosate is not only positive but also can be considered late. This is the opinion of the international law expert Vigen Kocharyan.

“All the processes should be started from one point and it is not incidental that this initiative launches right on the centenary of the Armenian Genocide. There is a field of chances, which is positive, as Turkey, connected with the possible membership process in EU, took up some responsibilities. One of them is the process of restitution of property and there are some positive examples in that issue”, - said Vigen Kocharyan, Armenpress reports.
