Foreign nationals to be granted Medal of Gratitude for contributions to Armenian Genocide recognition

YEREVAN, 12 FEBRUARY, ARMENPRESS. The Government of the Republic of Armenia approved the draft law on granting the Medal of Gratitude to foreign nationals having made weighty and significant contributions to the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide, to the condemnation and prevention of genocides, as well as to the fight against denial. The draft of the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On Making a Supplement to the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On State Awards and Honorary Titles of the Republic of Armenia”” was approved during the government session.
As “Armenpress” reports, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan said the government had no fundamental objections to the draft law.
