Turkey's MFA starts investigation on photo of Armenian Genocide Memorial

YEREVAN, JANUARY 30, ARMENPRESS. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey has begun an investigation to find out how the photo of Tzitzernakaberd Memorial dedicated to the Armenian Genocide victims’ memory appeared on the calendar devoted to the Battle of Gallipoli (Çanakkale). As reports “Armenpress”, an official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey informed CNN Turk about this.

An unidentified source informed the Turkish media that the relevant measures will be implemented against the person responsible for posting the photo. The Turkish media stopped spreading information after the clarification of the incident.

Previously the Turkish media published a photograph of the Armenian Genocide Memorial Tzitzernakaberd, which was depicted among the photographs on the April page of the Turkish MFA’s official calendar.
