Criminal case filed on Armenian servicemen’s murder by saboteurs

YEREVAN, JANUARY 24, ARMENPRESS: A criminal case has been filed on the murder and murder attempt of Armenian servicemen by the rival’s subversive group. According to preliminary data, at around 9:00 in the morning on January 23, the Azerbaijani special task forces started attack in several directions of the military position N. Due to the rival’s shooting the Armenian side had two casualties: Lieutenant Karen A. Galstyan and Private Artak V. Sargsyan were killed. The doctors are struggling to save the life of Private Hovhannes V. Avanesyan, wounded by the rival. The condition of the later is evaluated as grave.

The press service of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia told Armenpress that a criminal case has been filed on the incident at the Military Criminal Investigation Department of the Republic of Armenia based on the 1st, 7th, 13th and 34th clauses of the 104th article of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.

Investigation is being carried out.
