Armenia’s Communists see Armenia thriving within EEU fraternity

YEREVAN, 26 DECEMBER, ARMENPRESS. The Communist Party of Armenia welcomes Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union.“During its regular assembly held on November 29, the Communist Party of Armenia properly appreciated the action that President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan took. By joining the EEU, Armenia is first and foremost re-establishing its relations with Russia and is creating good opportunities for the establishment of a new relationship,” First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Armenia Tatchat Sargsyansaid during a December 26 press conference, adding that he’s certain that Armenia will thrive within the fraternity of the EEU, as “ArmenPress” reports.

The speaker mentioned that the West’s sanctions against Russia can’t “break Russia down”.“When the Soviet Union was just forming, Russia was a country with a retarded agrarian economy, but thanks to its tremendous potential, it managed to straighten up, and I have no doubt that it can do the same now,”Tatchat Sargsyan emphasized, adding that he’s certain that Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union will help bring back the good life that Armenians lived in Soviet Armenia and will help Armenia become one of the leading republics among the republics of the former USSR.
