NSS arrests Judge of Lori Province Khachatur Khachatryan at moment of receiving bribe

YEREVAN, 26 DECEMBER, ARMENPRESS. On December 25, Judge of the Court of General Jurisdiction of Armenia’s Lori Province Khachatur Khachatryan was arrested at the moment of receiving a bribe as a result of operative-investigative measures taken by the National Security Service. As the Press Center of Armenia’s National Security Service reports to “ArmenPress”, Khachatryan had demanded and received USD 20 thousand for the civil case in relation to a businessman being examined during his proceedings and for performing acts in favor of that businessman.

The Investigative Department of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia has instigated a criminal case under Article 311 (4)(2)(3) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. Preliminary investigation is underway.
