South Caucasus Railway to invest 6,5 billion drams to Armenia

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 22, ARMENPRESS: The South Caucasus Railway will make investments of 6,5 billion drams in 2015 to improve the railway system in Armenia. The investments will be directed to the restoration of railway infrastructure, energy supply, signalization, centralization, blocking and communication systems improvement.
The General Director of the South Caucasus Railway Victor Rebets told about it to the journalists. He stated that the same amount of money was allocated in 2014 as well, due to which the security of the railway system was improved and modernization works were carried out.“An important task was to ensure the safe movement of trains, for which radio communication system of the sentries of all the stations and the locomotive brigadeswas introduced”, - said the General Director of the South Caucasus Railway Victor Rebets, Armenpress reports.
