YEREVAN, OCTOBER 9, ARMENPRESS: The sanctions imposed against financial institutions of Russia and the ruble exchange rate fluctuations cannot directly influence the Armenian economy, Russian-based businessman, founder ofIDeA Charitable Foundation Ruben Vardanyan briefed journalists.

According to him, Armenia has no direct dependence on the Russian financial system, which protects it from direct effects.

“Armenia is funded not only from Russian financial institutions, but from different international ones as well. In this regard Armenia can maintain the refinancing rate at the same level and avoid that influence through appropriate monetary policy,” Mr Vardanyan said, Armenpress reports.
