Armenia’s Defense Minister expects international assessment on what happened to Hakob Injighulyan

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 4, ARMENPRESS. The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan assures that Hakob Injighulyan will continue military service in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, if he fits for military service. In a conversation with “Armenpress”, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan underscored: “First of all we are very glad and I am proud that our soldier has come back and expressed a desire to continue military service after long period of captivity. As to his health, he must undergo examination and if his health does not fit for military service, he will not continue it. But at the same time, we’ll provide for relevant normal conditions, in case he continues military service.”
According to the Minister, they will conduct activities for the analysis and international assessment of what happened to Hakob Injighulyan from the viewpoint of human rights. Among other things, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan noted: “Human rights violations have been recorded and they must receive relevant assessment in the international sphere as well, so that Azerbaijan could understand how to treat with captives.”
