The person who crossed Armenian-Turkish border introduces himself as Afghanistan’s citizen

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 11, ARMENPRESS: The person who has illegally crossed the border of Armenia from the Turkish side and was found out by Armenian villagers has introduced himself as Afghanistan’s citizen, Farid Satara, born in 1988, Public Relations Department of the Frontier Departmentof Russia in Armenia told Armenpress.

According to the version presented by the trespasser, he intended to cross Iran’s border to pass to Turkey and meet his family, who are in Van city.

During haymaking on September 2 residents of Ararat village of Ararat province Karo Davtyan and Rafik Petrosyan found out a trespasser at the cross-border territory of Surenavan and Ararat villages and handed him over to the detachment commanders. On September 11 in Ararat village of Ararat province, Rafik Petrosyan and Karo Davtyan will be awarded for bravery by Frontier Departmentof Russia in Armenia.
