Gevorg Kostanyan not to leave Prosecutor General’s position: comment

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 4, ARMENPRESS. Kristine Melqonyan, the advisor of the General Prosecutor of the Republic of Armenia Gevorg Kostanyan, has commented on the information circulating in some media about substituting Alvina Gyulumyan in the position of judge at the European Court of Human Rights. As “Armenpress” reports in explanation of the Advisor of General Prosecutor particularly runs as follows:

“I can confidently say that rumors have no connection with reality. Gevorg Kostanyan the General Prosecutor of the Republic of Armenia is the Armenia’s Government representative in ECtHR, he is also included in “The Commission selecting the candidates for ECtHR judge position proposed by the Republic of Armenia” and he is not going to substitute Alvina Gyulumyan.”
