YEREVAN, AUGUST 11, ARMENPRESS. The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan does not see sense in signing new agreement on ceasefire in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict zone. In an interview with “Armnews” TV company, the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan stated this in response to the question if reached agreements are sufficient to maintain cease-fire. As “Armenpress” reports, the President of the Republic of Armenia said: “We couldn’t not to speak about recent incidents at Armenia- Azerbaijan borderline, because the prevention of incidents is an integral part of the negotiation process. But we did not achieve to separate agreement, taking into consideration the fact that it is automatically assumed. I don’t think it makes sense to speak about new agreement, as there is no difference whether the agreement will be signed now or it was signed in the past, moreover, it was signed twice in the past in 94-95. The sides are just obliged to fulfill the requirements of this agreement. It is another case, if there will be new principals and a new agreement will be signed based on those principles, on not using military force at all. This is higher category then ceasefire agreement.”
