Azerbaijani saboteurs must be punished with all severity of law: Armenia's Defense Minister

YEREVAN, AUGUST 6, ARMENPRESS. The saboteurs arrested in the Karvachar region of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic cannot and should not be viewed as captives. According to the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan, they are criminals and it’s wrong to grant them the prisoner-of-war status. As reports “Armenpress”, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan stated this at the course of the press conference held on August 6 in the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.

Among other things, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan underscored: “The group’s goal was the collection of information. The materials they had with them show that they have studied the infrastructures, military parts, and dislocation of the army’s units. It was meant to serve as a basis for the relevant decision of the Azerbaijani administration. They are criminals and must be convicted in accordance with the Nagorno Karabakh and international law.”
