Armenia's Defense Minister doesn't see necessity to apply to CSTO

YEREVAN, AUGUST 6, ARMENPRESS. Although the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and line of contact is intense and the rival periodically makes subversive acts, but the Armenian Armed Forces can fulfill their duties and the situation is not so that Armenia must apply to the CSTO. As reports “Armenpress”, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan stated this at the course of the press conference held on August 6 in the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.

Among other things, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan underscored: “Armenia will turn to the CSTO for assistance only in case of large-scale military activities. Currently we don’t see necessity to apply to the CSTO.”
