YEREVAN, JULY 25, ARMENPRESS. This year singer Sona Rubenyan, who represents Armenia on “New Wave” international contest of young pop singers, on the second day of the competition on July 24, performed “Hayastan” song with singer Mher and got 76 points. Sona and Mher dedicated Armen Smbatyan’s song to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
Our delegates performed under number 6. All the members of the jury, except Igor Nikolayev who graded 10 points, gave 11 points to Sona and Mher. Members of Jury Philipp Kirkorov, Leonid Ogutin as well as Soso Povliashvili greeted Armenian participants with standing applause. Sona was so excited from performance that she cried on the stage.
