“Surprising engineering solutions” country: Armenia will try to become one of technologically advanced countries within 5 years

YEREVAN, JULY 9, ARMENPRESS. The Union of Information Technology Enterprises has developed a strategy to include Armenia among the technologically advanced 20 countries of the world.The strategy is envisaged to have internationally competitive high-tech industry in Armenia in 2018. The executive director of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises Karen Vardanyan informed in a conversation with Armenpress that to reach the goal the progress will be provided in 4 strategic directions. “The fist direction is the development of Armenia’s high-tech brand. Armenia will introduce itself to the world as a country of “Surprising engineering solutions” (Surprising Engineering ™)”. There will be possible to get surprising solutions there created on the basis of high quality, creativity and ability of adaptation.The customer will receive more than he wants in Armenia,” Karen Vardanyan said. According to him, the second direction is the development of entrepreneurship which envisages reaching the number of high-tech companies to 1300 in Armenia in 2018.

The other two points of the strategy relate to the education in IT field and state-private sector relations.
