YEREVAN, JUNE 23, ARMENPRESS. Tom Cruise is reportedly in talks to make a cameo appearance in JJ Abrams' Star Wars: Epsiode VII film, reports “Armenpress”, referring to London Sun.
Star Wars: Episode VII has begun filming at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire and is due for release at Christmas in 2015.
Cruise and Abrams worked together on Mission: Impossible 5, which is also due to hit cinemas late next year.
The Sun reported that the pair met at a London hotel to discuss Cruise making an appearance in the star-studded film. The 51-year-old actor is close friends with the film's director J.J. Abrams - who helmed Mission: Impossible III - and the pair reportedly met over the weekend to discuss a role for the A-lister.
A source told The Sun newspaper: 'Tom has been in London for over a week and met up with J.J. and some other people from Star Wars at the weekend.
Filming has suffered a blow after Harrison Ford - the 71-year-old actor, who reprises his role as Han Solo,broke his left legon the set and is not likely to be back at work for several months.Harrison's representative said in a statement: 'Harrison Ford's left leg was broken in an accident. His surgery was successful and he will begin rehab shortly.
The plot of Episode VII has been kept a secret but it takes place 30 years after the end of Return Of The Jedi.
