Armenian community of Israel hopeful that new stage of Armenian Genocide international recognition will begin with new president

YEREVAN, JUNE 12, ARMENPRESS. The representatives of the Armenian community of Israel and particularly the Armenian National Committee of Jerusalem receive congratulations on the occasion of election of Reuven Rivlin on the post of President. The reason is that Reuven Rivlin is considered to be a friend of Israeli-Armenians and for a number of times urged his people, who had witnessed the genocide, to recognize the Armenian Genocide.

In a conversation with “Armenpress”, the representative of the Armenian National Committee of Jerusalem Georgetta Avakian stated that it has been over ten years since the community in general and the Hay Dat Office in particular have established friendly ties with him.
