YEREVAN, JUNE 7, ARMENPRESS. More than two dozen companies introduced their services and goods at the course of “Customs Union-Armenia cooperation” three-day economic forum held in Tsaghkadzor on June 7. Armenpress reports that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Armenia organized the Armenian-Russian economic forum. Among the goals of the event was to introduce the opportunities achieved by Customs Union-Armenia cooperation to enable the businessmen getting grounded information on what the Customs Union is and what legislation is envisaged.

“The higher level of integration, including the elimination of technical issues in the trade relations will contribute to the economic development of Armenia. Besides, among the reasons to join the CU is the Diaspora living in CU member countries, as well as the absence of language barriers. Within the frames of the Customs Union the Russian Federation is the main partner of Armenia and the goods produced in Armenia are mainly sold in the Russian market,” the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Armenia Martin Sargsyan noted in his opening speech.
