Need of transition to Parliamentary System to be determined after public discussions

YEREVAN, APRIL 26, ARMENPRESS. The parliamentary model of governance proposed in the draft concept of the constitutional reforms may be subjected to changes after public discussions. At the meeting with the journalists this was stated by the commission member on Constitutional Reforms, Head of the Chair of the Constitutional Law, former Justice Minister Gevorg Danielyan, noting that this issue had given rise to serious disagreements in the professional commission on constitutional reforms. "The issue related to the power redistribution is really debatable. In the draft concept we had proposed parliamentary system of governance, but as we can see, it was not accepted by the public unambiguously. If during the public discussions we understand that the suggested version is not accepted by the society, then it is possible that the form of the state governance remain unchanged, provided that in the future attention should be paid to this issue" – reports “Armenpress”, citing Danielyan.
