The delegations of the Government of Syria and opposition will start negotiations in Geneva on January 24. “Armenpress” reports citing the Arab media that the spokesperson of the UN Secretary-General Martin Nesirky stated it adding that according to the UN Secretary-General and United Nations and Arab League Envoy to Syria Lakhdar Brahimi the main work activity will begin on January 24.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Syria stated that only the citizens of Syria have the right to decide the future of their country. The remark of the Minister was directed to the United States Secretary of State John Kerry who had earlier claimed that the President of Syria Bashar al-Assad could not be involved in the transition government list. Walidal Muallemaccused also Turkey in the deterioration of the situation in Syria. He noted that Syria received blow to its back from its neighbors. He criticized the countries that were against the Government of Syria with slogans of the Syrian great revolution.
