NSS work activity excels results of Soviet Armenia period

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 20, ARMENPRESS. The successes registered in the counterintelligence activity of the National Security of the Republic of Armenia significantly excel the results for the State Security Committee of the Soviet Armenia with the qualitative level of the work activity being done and quantitative index of the disclosed agents. The director of the National Security Service Gorik Hakobyan stated it at the course of the solemn session convoked on the occasion of the employee day of the National Security Service.

According to him, each person making a condemnable and humiliating step of state treason must realize that the responsibility by the power law will be unavoidable. “One of the priorities of the activity of the National Security Service remains counteractingtoaspirationsof special foreign services. It has been around 12 years we inform our society about the facts of theagents'revelation acted in favor of Azerbaijan. This year was not an exception either. The employees of the General Department for counterintelligence proved their ability of acting literately and skillfully, carrying out the work which requires strength and energy successfully,” Gorik Hakobyan said as reported by “Armenpress”.
