Budget 2014 to increase science financing

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 30, ARMENPRESS: The Government of the Republic of Armenia increases the budget allocations to the field of science. By the budget 2014 the allocations have increased by 11,3%. The Deputy Minister of Finance of Armenia Pavel Safaryan stated about it at the joint session of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture and Youth Affairs, Financial and Budgetary Affairs of the National Assembly. “In accordance with the report adopted by the National Assembly, the income growth of the field will make 11,3%”, - said the Deputy Minister.

Armenpress reports that the major part of the money allocated to the field of science will be directed to the base financing of the science. “9 billion 25 million drams will be provided to the base financing, which is more than the allocations of the last year by 676 million drams. The allocations of 2014 for contract financing will make 1 billion 515 million drams”, - said Pavel Safaryan.
