Armenian Prime Minister suggests thesis in favor of Armenia to be a member of Customs Union

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 12, ARMENPRESS. The integration processes within the framework of the Customs Union create new economic environment. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Tigran Sargsyan pointed out at the end of his visit to Moscow, summarizing the thesis in favor of joining the Customs Union. As Armenpessreports, the head of the Armenian government, in this context, focused on 5 main thesis: "the 1st is that nobody has invited us to the Customs Union. If we were invited, it would be done three years ago, when that process was in action".

The second thesis, according to the Prime Minister, is that no one has exerted pressure on Armenia, in the context of becoming a member of the Customs Union.

The third thesis pointed out by Tigran Sargsyan is that joining the Customs Union is multi-factor phenomenon, and different opinions can arise on the analysis of those factors.

The 4th one is that the integration processes within the frameworks of the Customs Union create new economic environment.

The fifth thesis put forward by the Prime Minister is that "we have a common idea of the fact that the integration process of the Customs Union and the expansion and deepening the relations with the European Union, ​​are not contradictory processes, but complementary".
