Board session of Armenian and Russian polices in Sochi

YEREVAN, JULY 29, ARMENPRESS: In Russian Sochi city on July 29 took place the united board meeting of Ministry of Internal affairs of Russian Federation and Police of the Republic of Armenia. “Armenpress” was informed from Armenian Police that at the session took part delegation of Armenian Police headed by Chief of Police Vladimir Gasparyan. At the session with opening speeches performed Russian minister of internal affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev and Chief of Armenian Police Vladimir Gasparyan. During the session issues relating to cooperation against crimes in sphere of informational technologies, implementation processes of the decisions of the previous board session and etc.

Particularly was mentioned that the development of informational technologies also creates beneficial conditions for using it for criminal purposes. In this sphere have been spread throughout such types of criminal activity as destruction, changing, embezzlement and blockade of information and informational resources. In such conditions the necessity of cooperation of law enforcement forces of different countries. Only in territory of Russian Federation in 2012 were recorded 10227 crimes in IT sphere and in the Republic of Armenia – 50 cyber crimes.

In result of efforts made by internal affairs ministry of Russia since 2012 has been managed to find 2835 users from 66 six countries which spread pornographic materials in participation of minors. In Armenia 800 such materials have been found. The opportunity of discovering crimes in high technologies sphere is greatly connected with efficiency of cooperation between law enforcement forces of different courtiers.

At the end of the session Russian minister of internal affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev and Chief of Armenian Police Vladimir Gasparyan performed with summarizing speeches.
