YEREVAN, JUNE 21, ARMENPRESS: The issue of holding of Miss Armenia 2013 National Beauty Contest is still in the discussion stage.As Armenpress was reported by the Director of the Miss Armenia 2013 National Agency Karen Aristakesyan, the delay of the contest is conditioned by some financial and logistical problems.

“We cannot say anything concrete about the organization of the contest”, - said Karen Aristakesyan, adding that Miss World 2013 will take place in September and there is some time to hold a national contest, thus selecting our delegate for the international one.

The Director of the Miss Armenia 2013 National Agency emphasized that for the high level organization of Miss Armenia 2013 the assistance of the state bodies is required.

In 1996 the contest was hold for the first time in the South Caucasus at the Yerevan Chamber Theatre. By 2012 9 Miss Armenia contests were held in Armenia.

The representatives of Miss Armenia contest participated in different international contests, like Miss Europe, Miss Asia and Oceania, Miss Transcaucasia, Miss CIS. For the last time Armenia participated in Miss World Beauty Contest in 2007.

The 63rd Miss World 2013 Contest will be held on September 28 in Indonesia. This year, by the request of the local Muslims, the bikini performance of the participants was removed from the international contest.
