Polish language centre opened in Yerevan State Linguistic University

YEREVAN, MAY 20, ARMENPRESS. The Polish Language Centre has been opened in the Yerevan State University after V. Bryusov. The Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia Armen Ashotyan attended the ceremony. The Minister underlined that the Armenian-Polish relations are based upon common civilizational values, which are reached via education and science. Also Armen Ashotyan highlighted: "Everybody, who is interested in the Polish language, history and culture of the Polish people can acquire the knowledge they seek due to this centre."

The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Poland to the Republic of Armenia Zdzisław Raczyński noted that it's of a certain importance for the Armenians to learn the Polish language. As reports "Armenpress" in addition the Ambassador underscored: "Poland is situated in the centre of Europe. 10 percent of the European countries speak Polish. If you study the Polish language, you will learn one of the official languages of the EU."
