YEREVAN, JANUARY 16, ARMENPRESS. The head coach of the Armenia national youth football team Rafael Nazaryan is appointed the head coach of FC "Pyunik". The Press Service of FC "Pyunik" informed "Armenpress" that FC “Pyunik” officially announces that Rafael Nazaryan, who is also training the Armenian national youth football team, has been appointed the head coach of "Pyunik".
Previously head coach of the Armenian National Football Team Vardan Minasyan was temporarily acting as a head coach of FC "Pyunik".
Rafael Nazaryan acted as a head coach of Yerevan football club "Banants" since 2011. On January 16 it was officially announced that the administration of the football club and Rafael Nazaryan annulled the contract.
Rafael Nazaryan was born on 26 March 1975 in Yerevan. He was an Armenian football midfielder. He was a member of the Armenia national football team, and participated in 23 international matches and scored 1 goal since his debut in an away 1998 World Cup qualification match against Portugal on 20 August 1997. In February 2011 Rafael was appointed as a head coach of the Armenia national youth football team.
