Van cat is no longer Ankara’s symbol

YEREVAN, JANUARY 9, ARMENPRESS: Ankara Administrative Court has canceled the decision of Ankara’s Mayor Melih Gökçek concerning Van cat to be Ankara’s symbol. Armenpress reports referring to CNNturk channel.
The lawsuit was presented by former deputy leader of Turkey's main opposition Republican People's Party Rahmi Kumaş who noted that having blue and yellow eyes van cat could not be the symbol of Turkish capital.
Channel notes that the Mayor is decisive in the issue of Ankara’s symbol and that he is going to appeal the court's decision.
