Zhirayr Reyisyan: Shots in Aleppo considerably decreased

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 1, ARMENPRESS: The situation in Aleppo is quieter and more stable on September 30 and in the morning of October 1. Armenpress was reported about it by the Press Secretary of the National Primacy of Aleppo Zhirayr Reyisyan, adding that the situation was quite promising and the sounds of shots had considerably decreased. They sound from far, most probably from the peripheries of the city. Reyisyan also stated that most likely the Armenian schools would be shortly opened.

The Syrian SANA Agency informs that the armed forces continue pursuing the rebel groupings. In Dana Village of Aleppo they found the hiding place of the militants and caused significant damages to them. Four people died because of the explosion on September 30 in Ghamishli city of Hasake District, bordering with Turkey. There are wounded as well, which number is currently being clarified.

The explosion caused considerable damages to the nearby buildings. According to the Press Secretary of the National Primacy of Aleppo Zhirayr Reyisyan, 1500 kilograms of bombs were exploded in Ghamishli but yet they had no information if there were Armenians among the victims or not.

In Syria more than 30,000 people, including more than 20 Armenians, died in the collisions between the opposition and government forces, which have lasted about 18 months.
